alphanumeric puzzles to solve: U + C + I + + = The CAN DO? Oh what fun! I spent about 20 minutes on it - but I must answer.
U + C + I + + = The CAN DO
2 + 9 + 4 + 973 + 58 = 1046
T must be 1 since C + T is a deduction and the deferral is possible, 1. So C must be 9, and H must be 0.
The trick is finding the right combination of numbers in the last column to add a different number of one of those still left, causing a delay (which in this case is 2).
I rode with what I have found a working combo. (You can change the values of the UN and O around and be slightly different numbers to add, and it will always be the correct sum, so I gave you the first of six possible solutions to this issue).
C = 9 for the LHS to have 4 digits.
T = 1
likely H = 0
DO and AN are interchangeable, therefore U and I.
Shit I read the reply Don.
This variation also works.
U + C + I + + = The CAN DO
2 + 9 + 4 + 958 + 73 = 1046
