Baby Travel

Baby TravelTravel cot?

air travel with baby three months, things to make it smooth?

I've been flying internationally and nationally with my children since they were 2 months (now 8, 6 and 4 months). At least three trips a year are the children and I travel abroad (14 + hours each way) alone. In addition to this, we are taking another 8-10 international and domestic flights a year as a family. I've never had problems with my children on a flight. Here are some tips and suggestions:

1.) You will need to have all the documents of your baby in order. It's a good idea to keep a copy of his notarized birth certificate with you. Keep your name and number of doctors with you. Also get the name and number of a doctor where you are in the case of an emergency arise. Another thing you should consider bringing with you your vaccination is Childs. Thus, if an emergency situation that may occur while you are on vacation (no matter where you are) the treating physician will at least have some verifiable information to continue. This book includes as often as your child is allergic, and some small notes, but very helpful to your doctor. Check the travel documents that you must first make sure you get everything.

2.) Infants up to age 2 are free on domestic flights, and only pay taxes on international flights if you keep them around like a baby, which means he will sit on your knees all the time.

Try to book a bulkhead (front) seat where you will have more room, and a cradle. Moses is limited and is not available on all flights. If the bassinet is available (they can be used in bulkhead seats) will be given to the front wall for you to put your child in (however you can not use this during taxi, takeoffs, landings, or turbulence).

This is not the safest way for children to flight and the airlines recommend children under 40 pounds have their own seat with a safety device of the child - a CRS (Child Restraint System) - because it is safe for children (especially during turbulence), makes it feel secure, is more comfortable for parent and child, help your child sleep, and gives both the opportunity to relax a little. A CRS is a difficult child or a baby backpack or a child safety seat that is approved by the government for use in motor vehicles and aircraft.

To be certified for use on an airplane, the car seat must meet the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Check the labels on the side of your car restraint for a sticker (words will be printed in red) to check that your seat is safe for the aircraft. Almost all car seats pass this requirement.

Many airlines offer half-price tickets so parents can be assured that their children can travel in a CRS device. You should contact your airline to ask for a reduction and / or ask what the airline policy is used for empty seats.

If you have not booked a separate seat for your child, be nice to check in and see if they can "block" the seat next to you. They will then use it if they absolutely need. This way, you can get a seat for your child free (but only if it is available, and will not know until the last minute).

3.) You can take a stroller and gate check it. It will not be reflected in your checked baggage. This means you can use it all the way up to the time you climb aboard, and one of the managers does it take from you at your departure gate, tag it, and put it in a special compartment for you. When you exit the plane, it will be waiting for you at the door together.

4.) Not all children have a problem with the changes in pressure in the ears. If yours does however you'll want to know how to help. For takeoffs and landings (all the way to and from the beginning or the beginning of descent), the best ways to mitigate Pressur ear.
