How does the Britax infant car seat compared to others? I just had my third little boy and need to buy a new car seat. I think I want to get the Britax target because of the functionality of a side impact. I wonder how other parents think.
Thank you in advance.
infant seats are all pretty similar - so in my opinion, this is not really paying more for a one. Especially since it will only last 5-7 months anyway. However, I am a little biased b / c I do not think that baby carriers are good at all. They are overworked. Visit the links below and complete, if you're interested in what happens to our babies spend all their time in these places outside of the car.
Britax manufactures high quality products and their infant seat is no different. Easy to install (but even though the Graco SafeSeat1). However, side impact protection very design for you is indeed a problem with some children, pushing the head forward until it falls before cutting off their airway.
If I had to spend much money on a baby seat, I would get the Graco SafeSeat. lasts much longer b / c it goes to a huge £ 30 £ 22 instead of usual. And even better than the base has built in locking clips making it easier to set up base there and make sure you never have to use a locking clip with her. Certainly a better buy, easy to use seat. The only potential problem with him is that he takes more space (front to back) than standard infant seats. So if you have a small car, it might not be the place for you.
I forgot the links! Sorry.:

What's great about the Britax seats is that they have a steel frame under the plastic and the others just have a plastic frame. I do not know that I buy a car seat at all and go with the seat convertible - the poor in her long and you do not have to lug around with a baby inside of 15 pounds. I would go with a Britax convertible seat as the Marathon, which holds baby in a 5 pt harness to 65 lbs.
I have the Marathon for my son (6 months). I love it. I did not transfer to it a month ago because he was still asleep in the car seat and it was easier to lead rather than the whole seat to wake.
But now, we love it! He seems really comfortable and it was fairly easy to install. I went to a police check car seat to make sure I had the right ... but it was very easy to do.
I highly recommend this seat to anyone.
We have 2 marathons and I love them! We also have an Evenflo Titan which is crap. I hate this thing. The Britax lasts longer than conventional seats £ 40. DD.
