Children's Learning Activities

Children's Learning ActivitiesHow did you find the learning style of your children?

I decided the house of my 5 year old son. I'm so excited, but I'm not sure where to start. I need to find their "learning style" so that I can plan activities accordingly, but how can I understand this and what are the labels of learning styles? Thanks in advance for your help!

With my son, I watched and took note of it revolves around. Young children do not know that "learning is not fun" again, then they will naturally leading them to learn.

For example, my son has an almost perfect memory for everything he hears, but is fuzzy on the memory of what he sees. If he reads something in a book he will not regret it fairly well, but if he hears an audio book or listening to me read aloud, he gathers all the information and can analyze the characterization and plot points. I remember lines from movies weeks, months, even years down the line, but could not tell you what the character looks like. Auditory learner:)

He also likes to spend a lot of things - he thinks better when he can walk, touch and products, and act on things. This is the behavior that nearly earned him while he was in medical school ... if he can not sit still, it * must * be added, right? It could not be kinesthetic and it was too young to know it "should not" to do;) kinesthetic learner.

Some kids are almost prepared to visual stimuli - works of art, clothing with bright colors, vivid images ... they remember everything they read or watch, and spelling are often natural, because they "see" the word in their eyes when asked about it. These are visual learners.

At 5 years, he has probably a lot of kinesthetic him - many young children, especially boys, often do. However, you can see other emerging trends - he as to work with his hands? When you ask him a question he try to "see" you by acting on the response, rather than just tell you? Does it always need to have the TV or a CD player in progress, or there a great memory for lines of television shows or songs? These are all things that you say the learning style of your child.

Hope that helps!

The Ultimate Guide to Homeschooling by Debra Bell also good things about learning styles. There are differing opinions, but the three most common visual, auditory and kinesthetic, and then within these subsets. The site given by Sims2 is a good way.

It would be interesting to know that I have asked several teachers and they said nothing of the sort exists funny (not really!) I think my child has a disability or another or simply lazy, the most older, it gets the learning does not become easier. Desperately asking if you can not find anything that allows you to send me an email.
