Costume Wings

These wings come with my fairy costume and they keep falling. I do not have time to buy new. How can I keep them straight? (I tried to put the cards. Did not work). Also, would it look too weird if I added a trim to the skirt to make it more? Thank you!

can you Stich a thin thread of a wing to the other to keep the wingtips approximation which should give them more support? (I'm just assuming you have those big lines with wire netting or pantyhose stretched over them as I had the same problem with some of them)

also for garnish, if you use petal shaped bits of color that would look pretty good compensation Stich or a feather boa around and add sequins
