73 or 74 I think. Somewhere along the years. Maybe '74-'73.

As many responders said, he began to 1973-1974, just after Wilt Chamberlain retired.

If the blocks were recorded for 60, Wilt and Russell have eclipsed total blocks Olajuwon, Abdul Jabbar and Olajuwon would have eclipsed, because in the first four seasons Kareem, the blocks have not been registered yet.
