Dog Costume

Dog CostumeFourth of July 2009 costume ideas for dogs

Are you celebrate July 4th with your beloved dog? You can combine your pet in the celebrations held to dress in patriotic dog! Here's an idea on how to make a patriotic dog costume at home.

Please think safety when dressing up your dog house pet costumes . The costume is not tight fit, so the movements of your dog does not stop, nor too loose, then it does not fire on costumes. Not all dogs are fineith wearing a suit, if your dog does not like it, remove the costume immediately.

We will make a top hat and bracelets for all four paws red, blue and white.

What you need:

  • a plastic bottle of cylindrical shape (for large dogs) or otherwise;
  • a plastic pot (such as packages of vitamins for small dogs) to the cylindrical part of the top hat;
  • Some foam plastic packing up their hats;
  • a box for the board;
  • An elastic band (to match the color of your dog) to secure the hat to the head of your dog and keep the bracelets;
  • fabric color patriotic
  • scissors
  • needle;
  • red thread, white or blue;
  • glue-gun glue to low (do not burn yourself);
  • marker.

Instructions for top hat:

  1. Cut a plastic bottle so it makes the body of the hat top. Try to make the edges flat and even. Put one end of the open bottle on the flat side of the foam and draw a circle with the marker. Note the allowance for cutting and cut a piece of foam as a pill. The pill should foam easily fit into the bottle.
  2. Mark a circle on the cardboard to make the edges. The circle must be larger than the diameter of the cylinder (the body of the hat). To draw this circle, you can use a pot, a larger plastic bottle or anything else of a round shape. Drill a hole of his size edge in the center of cardboard. Take a piece of cloth, cover edges with one hand and pull the edges of the hole. Leave a half inch of fabric for sewing and cut the necessary amount of fabric.
  3. Cut a small hole in the center of the canvas to align the hole in the center of the strait. Cut a rubber band, enough to wrap your dog's head. Pull the edges of fabric with two ends of the elastic band through this hole and sew or glue the edges together. The rubber band should make a loop that will hang on to the dog's head.
  4. Cut a piece of fabric large enough to cover the body of the hat that makes a half-inch on all four sides overlap and fold the edges of the bottle. Glue one edge of the canvas to the bottle (from left to right) and let dry thoroughly. Wrap the fabric around the bottle and glue on the other side of the bottle on the top or side of the collage above. Fold the edges to the inside of the bottle and glue.
  5. Cover and glue the fabric on the pill foam. Stick the pill now colored foam inside the bottle so it forms the top of the hat. Glue the hat brim. You can paste and glue another pill foam (without tissue) in the cylinder for more durability. This would allow larger areas to be bonded in fixing the hat brim.

    Instructions for the bracelets:

    1. Measure the circumference of the leg of your dog where you want the bracelets. Decide what the width you want the bracelets to be. Cut four pieces of tissue from the following siz.
