Fun Educational Activities

Fun Educational ActivitiesWhat are the educational and fun activities for toddlers 20 months old?

My son does not go to daycare, just stay at home with a nanny. He has many toys, loves drawing and coloring, but he gets bored easily. Can anyone think of fun activities for her education?

Spend more time with him rather than let her nurse.

Maybe that's why he's bored, and more if you do not talk to your son often, you could be almost saw when he grows up.

Moive books

They all get bored easily at that age. Try to change activities often.
Coloring and drawing and large building blocks, a snack, then reading the book, little TV, then the clay

Try the worksheets.
Take him to the zoo or a farm, or the library (many have "story time for toddlers)
Make him a paper airplane!

finger painting
Puppet making socks or brown paper bags
make fruit loop Cheerio / necklaces
dance music Toddlers
plasticine
finger plays, like (shoulders, head, knees and toys, Pat-a-cake, ring around the rosie, etc.)

The best thing would be for local scouts to things without you or the nurse can do with it. For example, check your local library for young children's reading time. Go to the library and sit and read books with him. Explore nature reserves and historic parks in your area. Interpretive centers can be developed for him, but you can show different things like bugs, insects, hats and period clothing. Go to parks inside and outside. Being in contact with children may be the most educational thing he can do. Check the zoo and arboreta to teach him different plants, animals, colors, etc. One of the things I do with my 22 months is to go on a walk through a wooded area (safely of course) and show the different bugs, trees, leaves, plants, birds and animals. Go outside and tell her the sky, things in the sky, grass, raking leaves, pine cones, etc. Basically, try to remember that a world outside your house may be cheap, affordable and, especially, education!

Puzzles, interactive games, construction toys, flash cards, books. Perhaps a half-hour educational DVD -
