What fun learning activities I can use to help tutor the 5 year old child? The main thing he needs help is reading, but I also need something to help find learning fun. In practice, not just paper. I looked this up on Google, but it's all on computer. We are not using a computer .. Suggestions?
There are all sorts of things you can do. Make flashcards for his words and playing games identify - Games Model other games you know, like matching game, Crazy Eights, goes fishing, etc. Get a fly swatter from the dollar store and play a game where you say the word and the child must swat the word of a collection of memory cards on a table. Sort words into categories 6 (rather than the child does) that the child to create categories or you can offer. For example, if the words were a dog, a hat, play and go, President, and fly - the child can sort them by name and verb or things with a short vowel and things with a long vowel. Children are creative - they can come to some very unique categories. Take a group of words and compete to make a sentence using all the words. ie. My dog wanted to play as he could steal a chair while wearing a hat. These are just some ideas. Use them to find alternatives for your own.

I am a tutor and I have a website.

I'd be interested to post more if anyone knows of any.
For math I make games of dominoes and a deck of cards common.
Children love to use cards because adults use them.
Instead of putting the cards to costumes, you can put cards in addition to a number.
