House Building GamesGame Review Wonderburg

The times of the city and the kind of capacity resource management is back with Wonderburg. It plays very similar to games set up in this kind, such as games, Build-a-Lot, but with a fresh look at her in a magical land of witches, dragons and castles.

You play the role of the witch and Alisa Rudy manufacturer dwarf in this common venture capacity. The game starts with our heroes discover that the villages of their land is destroyed or taken over by mysterious magical powers. They decide to work together and try to rebuild these villages, and defeat the invaders and to find the reasons for the invasion.

Their quest takes you through many parts of the earth, peaceful villages and hills, coasts haunted mountain snow swept and many other areas you would expect in a fantasy world. And in each area, you can stand up with monsters like trolls, pirates, ghosts, wizards and dragons.

The game Wonderburg is very similar to games like Build-a-Lot. The main part of the game is the construction of additional homes and buildings in the village in order to generate income. The amount of things you can build is limited by the amount of cash and raw materials that you have, and the number of manufacturers are working for you. You get to build and modernize the homes increase the value and income, and additional buildings that have their own function, such as the manufacture of raw materials are cheaper or scare away monsters.

Unlike other city building games, the mechanical and Wonderburg gameplay that blends well with the theme of fantasy fairy tale. You dwarves are manufacturers of construction, repairs and updates for you. And your buildings can sometimes be accursed, requiring your next witch astride her broom flying to weave his magic and Decursive home.

The animation in the game screen is pretty decent. In addition to the witch and the dwarf manufacturers, you see the villagers to walk in their daily lives. You can also see the monsters / invaders creating chaos in the village. Wonderburg uses this concept quite well by the addition of a mini-game where you must use your magic wand to zap away at the monsters as they run.

The game can be played either in casual fashion untimed, timed or competitive mode, depending on your preference. In timed mode, you must complete each scenario in time preset in order to win the bronze, silver or gold medals. The better you do, the better the medal you win. And these medals are not just for show. If you win gold medals in all scenarios of a region, you unlock a secret level for that particular area. This good replay value as you try to improve your efficiency and competence.

The atmosphere of the game is also fairly decent. Unfortunately, there are no video clips or other dynamic events between the two scenarios. Instead, you see comic book-style shots of the hero interacts with the other inhabitants of this magical world. The quality of art is cartoony and funny in a Disney kind of way. However, be prepared for some really corny jokes and bad puns!

More experienced players might find Wonderburg get a bit boring after a while because even with its many functions related to the fantasy settings and it plays much like the typical game of city building. But for those of you who want a change of scenery and want to rub shoulders with witches and dwarves and trolls and wizards battle, then this game will be a nice change freshness.

Rating: 3.5/5.0
