Barbie always sticks around, but the dolls such as Jem dolls (remember them, lol) disappear. What about Bratz? Bratz will one day do the same thing, you know .. disappear .. in 10 years or something? Are they simply another step? Im thinking of collecting them before they disappear.
my daughter and all his friends who really love Bratz but I do not think they will stand the test of time because they have no substance and no abiliyt change. Barbie has survived because it has evolved over time.
Personally, I think they are just a phase. Barbie is a toy revolution and will always be there. Bratz, on the other hand, are simply too glittery and their heads are disproportionately to their body. I think they are overpriced and not popular with adults, more like a toy in a collection. Maybe not, if you're looking to collect and hope the value rises, I'd be very careful. If you just want to collect them for fun, go ahead, but it could be abandoned.
Yeah, I wonder why. You figure Barbie has been around what, almost 50 years or something? So why all the others fade out? I am not sure of the Bratz dolls. They may be of value one day, but I doubt it. I checked Jem dolls on ebay just out of curiosity and they do not go so far. If you decide to collect, good luck to you! =)
