I would like to know more about autism. Usually the signs in young children and infants. OCD perhaps? My 2 and half old toddler does something weird, and I'm worried he might have autism * and possibly OCD.
These include:
* Lining its small cars in a straight line for 2 + hours
* Take things in the fridge and throw them down the stairs. I told him not to, but his taste, he may stop t *.
* When he wakes from his nap, he cries for 45 minutes as it doesn t * Remember where it is or who I am. T * I can touch him or talk to him because he is simply making things worse.
* This * speak the same language mystery for more than a year. When he does learn new words, it uses only about 3 times, then forgets them completely.
* He wants nothing to do with the toilets at all. He also doesn * t want me to change his diapers when he s * is wet or dirty.
It does * cover * ll sleep with a blanket, and it s * not * a child is an ugly blue comforter queen down.
* Everything * t ISN quite right, it * ll freak out more. Wrinkles in a rug, a patch of dirt on the tv etc.
It s more but I * m * of the room.
As Rascal said, should be concerned because these behaviors are a bit weird. You best is to contact the early intervention and request an assessment of development. Let them know that you are concerned about autism and obsessive-compulsive disorder. If you are getting that started here are two books that might help: "The parents guide to Asperger syndrome and high functioning autism". He has graphs and case studies to help you recognize situations and how to deal with them. The maps can help determine a diagnosis. So the "out of sync child" it deals with sensory integration problems, and helps you understand how it can affect behavior.
Sounds like autistic traits, but they are still too vague to tell. Things I noticed with my son were, crying without reason, do not shout like crying, just screaming. Another big one is "stimming" hand flapping up and down, circling or running back in fourth place, jumping, repeating words over and over again, maybe scenes from movies or cartoons . Dietary habits changed, likes routine, temper tantrums, appears to be very "gifted" in certain areas, including numbers, letters, colors or shapes. The autism spectrum is so large, so it's really hard to say, but if you have these problems, I take him to a specialist. Good Luck.
There are millions of websites that can help you identify the signs of autism, but some features are unusual interest, unusual patterns of language, stiffness when and how things work. In addition, two biggies are the lack of response to call his name and not pointing a finger. There are great difficulties with receptive and expressive language and lack of eye contact and social reciprocity (the ability to share attention with a toy or a social game with another person).
I think the first thing you should do is talk to your pediatrician and ask if they can make the M-CHAT questionnaire with you (there is a screening tool to determine if a child needs further evaluation depth of autism). Also call your district's program of early intervention (all managed by the counties, and everything is free) to be evaluated. From there, it needs the intervention of a teacher, an occupational therapist and speech therapist, he will get.
But I also recommend that, in addition to using the Internet to look for early signs of autism, you can also search for sensory integration. You can find that shows signs of sensory integration difficulties, and while the techniques that are used may not help all, they can help make life happier and easier.
Good luck and God bless!
1) By aligning things to normal, but the list of "signs autism." This for more than 15-30 minutes is certainly on. Para.
