Play Mats

Play MatsBest way to clean toys and play mats, after being sick?

My 11 weeks old just undergone RSV. I want to clean his carpet games and small toys. There arent very many toys, rattles and just small items that he has touched. What is the best way to clean all these items so that it is not still sick? I do not use harsh chemicals.

Ohhh my son had RSV when he was a week old. It sucks ...... It is a product of Clorox cleaning I belive it is in a bottle of blue haze or purple. It is made for baby stuff. very good product and very safe. I'm sorry I forgot the details .... It should be as close to Walmart. He says it's for stuff for babies and safe for use on high chairs (because the food goes)

Paste the toys in the dishwasher and the carpet in the washing machine.

If toys are too large to soak in a bath of water with some bleach and scrub

Or

throw everything into the trash!

Clorox .. I saw a commercial use you put in the water leaves toys sit there for 20 minutes .. and they are disinfected .. it is not hard at all .. You can rinse .. dishes, bowls, toys for dogs not carpet, but for the toys u could ..

I was watching (can not remember the name), but the lady used antiseptic mouthwash to clean / disinfect baby toys ... as scope .. she put in a spray bottle (I thought it diluted a little water) and spray toys and simply wipe them ... will kill germs and safe for baby ... Hope this helps:)

If you can, use your dishwasher, put them in the top rack. The hot water did a great job of cleaning all the things that goes into the cracks of your children's toys.

The washing machine is an excellent idea for cleaning toys for babies and toddlers. It would be wise to put all your toys in a mesh bag before putting them in the machine. The mesh bag will keep all the toys and she avoids toys smaller to fit in your washing machine. You can add a little bleach water to kill germs. Turn your washing machine on a wash light. This method will clean and disinfect at the same time.

Use bleach and soak in the bath for 20 minutes, then rinse with cold water.

This can be hard and I `m sorry if it is. I put these toys in the bathtub, water temp room use and about a cup full of bleach. I use enough water to cover the items. I let them soak for a while to air dry and rinse thoroughly. I guess you can put in the dishwasher but I do not know if they will be disinfected. Make sure you get the things in your house that you touched many, telephone keypad, remote, door handles I `m you get the picture.

I recommend filling a Tupperware container with a solution of 1 part vinegar and 1 part distilled or filtered water and soak the toys (if waterproof) for 30 minutes. Give them a good rinse after then let them air dry. I want to avoid bleach and dishwasher (corrosive chemicals and dirty water). I'm not sure of the mats. If can be washed in your washing machine, I recommend washing with vinegar. Vinegar is a disinfectant cleaner without all the wonderful and corrosive chemicals.
