Religious Education ResourcesThe cost of many resources for education will fall!

Whether you homeschool your children or send your children to private or public schools, most moms are always looking for resources for their children good education. Unfortunately, many of these resources are very expensive.

But here is some good news: many educational resources are about to cost a lot less!

In fact, they will not cost you a penny! Here's how:

You may have heard about new technology called "open source". The free software is essentially free for those who want to use. You can download it on your computer. And if you know how to program, you can customize according to your business needs.

Well, teaching resources are about to go open source. Scott McNealy, the former president of Sun Microsystems (a manufacturer of consumer software) is currently developing a new website that will provide educational materials free of charge.

The new site is called curriki.com. It derives its name from a play on words "curriculum" and "wiki". A wiki is a site that is implemented through the collaboration of many different people. The most popular use of the word is in the name of the website Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia that is also open source.

McNealy is hoped that many will curriki.com expensive textbooks, the way of the dinosaur. A non-profit organization (called Curriki) will take place on site. The company will provide the content. But users provide much of the content.

Although the site will not be Christian in nature, Christians will be able to use the site and make adjustments to correct any inaccuracies. When asked how the site will handle issues such as evolution vs. creationism delicate, McNealy said, "Open source. So if a religious school wants to hit it all ... just leave. It is open source - you can cut and paste, you can use the songs you want and create your own manual. "With curriki.com, you will have the last word on what your children learn.

The site is operational, but there is not much on the site. Curriki plans to expand over time, so check back often. Because of its flexibility, it is quite possible on the site will revolutionize education. At the very least, it will bring a new level of competition in the education market that has failed. And, best of all, it will give you more resources for an unbeatable price.
