Styrofoam Building

Styrofoam BuildingIf you build a skeleton of styrofoam Putting the pieces together for a better protection against Earthquake?

OK if I have a 12x5 approximately two thirds of thickness, so I cut them into long sticks in 5 of the thickness across, would be the best chance they stick in earthquakes simulated using Glue / TAPE / toothpicks? even thought would be appreciated. ^ _ ^

The building will be stronger if it is wider at the base, narrow at the top, and is built on the boxes without the open sides.
