What supplies does she need teachers? This is my first year teaching, and I have a 3 "full catalog of supplies for my class. I will be teaching in the Special Ed class, with the kidos serious and profound. What are the good things I order? I have about $ 250 to spend. Thank you for your suggestions!
You'll need the most basic supplies (pens, pencils, paper, glue, etc.) is true. But you find that you will need the things you have not yet thought of. For example, folders to document students' work, a phone with address book / keep the information of parents on hand and a clipboard to remind you who's who, scheduling, room assignments for teachers, etc. .. One of the best things I bought my first year was a carbon copy phone message book. I used to keep track of the aircraft relative calls I made --- I listed the date, time, phone number, nobody speaks to the person or left a message, and reason. This way, you have good documentation for ARD and student records.
Welcome to education and fun!
I never enough glue.
If you spend it all now, do you need:
white board markers, erasers, cleaner?
tape dispenser stapler, 3 hole punch, pencil sharpener, scissors, rulers?
paper clips, pins, post-its, staples, tape (to hang things on the wall), transparencies, laminating paper, shirts - Manila and hanging?
Paper: white lined, billboard construction, newsprint?
pencils, pens, markers, crayons, pencils, erasers (always needed), white-out?
ink for a printer private class?
videos or books for your content?
posters for your wall?
I need to buy everything listed above for my class, except the white paper and lined computer paper, so I spend at least $ 250 per year. I'm jealous that you have some money to help you. :)
Well personally, I invest in lots of glue, pens, pencils, rubbbers, rulers, and pens. Enough for everyone pencils and pens and rulers, but between a small group size etc rubber glue felt I would buy records and boxes for storing work and portfolios of plastic. I would like to buy paper clips and staplers paintings drawer as a backup. I also recommend saving the money until half of the year, and again from storage. I hope this has been of assistance. Oh, and get lots of cards, tissue paper arts and crafts and things
Just get the basic stuff right now, some pens, pencils, stapler, scissors and some other things you'll need. A very good thing to get would be an individual with dry erase markers. Otherwise, I would wait until you get familiar with each child and the whole class before you spend the entire $ 250.
A good supply of patience.
My child is in Special Ed with autism and there are things like timers and photo calendars are visual in the classroom and a good supply of reinforcements at low prices. I think you'd better ask one of your colleagues at school.
I would not spend it all now. Once you have more experience with children, you get more ideas and it would be a shame if you've already spent all your money.
