Does your toddler as their basketball? Is this a good gift idea? We've had terrible luck lately and had two cars crashing on us in one month apart and my husband lost his job if things are looking grim for Christmas this year. Luckily my kids are only 2 years old (girl) and 3 months (boy) and do not know to expect Christmas gifts. I'm looking to just get something they will both get a lot of use out of and I am considering this basketball: http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price- J5970 ...
(Toys R Us has a lot cheaper.) My daughter never really played any sports and I want to get something from him, she can be active at a time inside the house (when the weather is bad) and outside in summer. I think it will last long and my son use it when he is older.
My mother disagrees and believes it will not hold her attention for long. So my question is: Is this your toddler to continue to play basketball with them or did they finally get tired? This will be his Christmas present for the major, so I want something a 2 year old child will enjoy. I know my daughter and I think she will use it much, my mom knows it too well and thinks she will not.
Extra: More ideas for interior / toy physical activity outdoors, it is not too expensive? If you have this basketball specific that you liked?
We have a basketball hoop child (different). It was played with the first days and now it's just a lawn ornament. They prefer to run around the yard in circles picking up sticks or swinging on their swing.
If you think she loves him, then just go. Not a toy that you will always keep his attention anyway.
We bought our 2 year old son has a basketball hoop a few months ago. We got a second-hand shop, only $ 10. So if you're not afraid of anything used, I recommend shopping at thrift stores (kids do not really know the difference between new and used anyway). I'm glad we only paid $ 10 for it, because it uses little, but when we have other children over to play as their favorite toy appears and outdoors, they can play with it together. It also depends on their interests too, my son loves baseball and never seems to tire of this. I hope this helps:)
I know that my 3 year old love it. it's all basketball about ... she saw shoe decorations during the summer (she had fangs) and had to have. even if it is colder now, it still beats me and wants to wear his basketball shoes "
I do not know why she has a fascination ball B * ... my sister has always been in the sport, I think Bella is the same =)
we have a basketball hoop in our driveway adult, she likes to try and dribble the ball and shoot.
if times are tough, I'm sure that what they enjoy most is a fun time with you! if you're stuck on getting them up and look around some thrift stores, goodwill, Army Hi, etc. .. I'm sure you'll be able to find something great for them.
I think I would get some Tonka trucks. Boys and girls love them. You can use indoors and outdoors. They last forever and the children play with them for years. Think about it.
