Uc BabyEffects of the use of plastic Polycarbonated

In today's world 'plastic' is the substance that is widely used by people for their daily run. Whether to wear objects in a polythene bag or store grain in plastic containers or storage of water in PET bottles, etc.

Also in this fast paced life of food stored with preservatives is widely consumed in the world which is mainly stored in metal cans.

But these boxes and PET bottles is a poison for the person who uses it.

Now the question is how it is harmful to humans?

Many transparent 'plastic' bottles are made from polycarbonate, typically a polymer 'Bisphenol A'.

In this article, mainly the adverse effects of bisphenol A in human life are discussed.

A first synthesis in 1891, the chemical has become a key element of plastics from polycarbonate to polyester in the United States alone more than 2.3 billion pounds (1.04 million metric tons) of the substance is manufactured per year. Bisphenol A also called BPA, is used in the preparation of polycarbonate plastic and epoxy resins, which are both used in a wide variety of applications that make our lives better and safer.

It is also an industrial chemical that has been present in many hard plastic bottles and food-based metal beverage cans since 1960.

The polycarbonate plastics with BPA are used in many food and beverage packaging applications, while epoxy resins are widely used as coatings for coating metal cans or bottle caps or water pipes.

Adverse effects:

According to scientists at the University of Cincinnati (UC), the temperature of the liquid has a big impact on how much BPA is released. It is by Schott Belcher and his team at the beverage bottle polycarbonate is exposed to boiling water, the amount of BPA released 55 times more rapidly than before exposure to hot water.

In February 2008, Belcher said, "There is a strong suspicion of the scientific community, however, that this chemical has harmful effects on humans, but little clinical evidence related to humans have been found."

In another research conducted in the same university with a research team led by Scott Belcher, PhD, Hong Sheng Wang, Ph.D., and Jo El Schultz, PhD, department of pharmacology and cell biophysics, revealed that exposure to BPA and / or estrogen causes abnormal activity in the hearts of female rats and mice. BPA, an environmental pollutant with the activity of estrogen, is used to make hard plastic, and it is common in many food containers. He has been associated with neurological abnormalities, diabetes and breast and prostate.

Belcher's team found that the presence of BPA in the cells caused an increased release of calcium from the sarcoplasmic reticulum - the part of the heart muscle that stores and release calcium ions indicating that spontaneous release is probably the original irregular heartbeats and possibly other harmful actions, especially after a heart attack.

In women heart muscle cells, blocking or genetic suppression of estrogen receptor beta completely blocked the contractile effects of BPA and estrogen, while men, blocking the effects of estrogen receptor alpha caused the male heart to become more "female-like" and become sensitive to estrogen and BPA.

These studies allow us to identify major cardiac risk after exposure to BPA long-term health of a woman.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) found traces of BPA occurred at levels of 33-80 nanograms (one nanogram is one billionth of a gram) per kilogram of body weight in any given day levels 1000 times low as 50 micrograms (one millionth of a gram) per kilogram of body weight per day considered safe by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the European Union (EU) European Food Safety Auth.
